Bioidentical Hormone Optimization

At Vita Health, we restore hormone balance using bioidentical hormones—molecules identical in structure and function to those your body naturally produces. Our goal is not simply to normalize lab values, but to restore vitality, cognitive clarity, metabolic efficiency, and long-term cardiovascular and neurological health.

We treat andropause, menopause, and Female Endocrine Metabolic Dysfunction (formerly PCOS) using individualized protocols that integrate symptoms, physiology, and real clinical outcomes—not lab numbers alone. Many patients seek care when energy, cognition, or hormonal signaling fail to recover after illness, prolonged stress, or inflammatory burden, despite “normal” testing.
Hormone optimization is most effective when integrated with optimized hydration, metabolic and mitochondrial support, purposeful movement, and targeted recovery strategies.

Metabolic Testing – Resting Metabolic Rate / VO2 Max

Vita Health uses advanced metabolic testing with the Korr CardioCoach® system to measure resting metabolic rate and oxygen utilization, providing real-time insight into how efficiently your body produces and uses energy. These data allow us to personalize metabolic targets and activity ranges that support stable energy, metabolic flexibility, and long-term wellness.

To extend these insights beyond the clinic, patients receive one month of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) annually using the Stelo system, with clinician-authorized access to results. This creates a layer of objective feedback and accountability, helping align nutrition, movement, hydration, and recovery strategies with real-world physiology rather than estimates or assumptions.
Metabolic testing is most effective when integrated with optimized nutrition and hydration, hormone support, purposeful movement, and mitochondrial therapies—reinforcing efficient energy regulation at the cellular level.

Neurocognitive Testing

Vita Health uses CNS Vital Signs® computerized neurocognitive testing to objectively evaluate key domains of brain performance, including memory, attention, processing speed, and executive function. This standardized testing provides a clear baseline of cognitive function and helps identify patterns that may not be apparent through symptoms alone.

Results are used to inform individualized therapy and are repeated over time to track cognitive stability, improvement, or progression. Neurocognitive testing allows both patient and clinician to see how changes in metabolic health, hormonal balance, sleep, hydration, movement, and mitochondrial support translate into measurable cognitive outcomes.
Cognitive testing functions best as part of an integrated system that supports metabo.

DEXA+ Body Composition Analysis

Vita Health uses advanced full-body DEXA scanning to provide detailed insight into bone density, lean muscle mass, visceral fat, and fat distribution. This highly precise imaging allows for objective assessment of body composition and skeletal health—data that go far beyond scale weight or appearance.

DEXA results are used to establish a baseline and track meaningful change over time. Measurements of lean mass, visceral fat, and subcutaneous fat can be reassessed annually to evaluate metabolic and functional progress. Bone density trends, however, are best interpreted at two-year intervals, as shorter timeframes do not reliably reflect true skeletal change.

Unlike bioimpedance-based devices, which estimate body composition indirectly and are highly influenced by hydration status, DEXA provides direct, reproducible measurements, making it the preferred tool for longitudinal tracking and clinical decision-making.

When combined with resting metabolic rate and VO₂ testing and continuous glucose monitoring, DEXA allows structural changes in muscle and fat to be interpreted alongside real-world energy use and glucose patterns, creating a unified, accountable view of metabolic health over time.
DEXA analysis functions best as part of an integrated system that includes metabolic testing, hormone optimization, purpose.

IV Therapy

IV Nutrient Therapy at Vita Health is offered as an adjunctive support, designed to reinforce the foundational work of hormone optimization, metabolic health, and purposeful movement. Targeted intravenous nutrients provide key vitamins, minerals, and metabolic cofactors that support cellular resilience and mitochondrial function, which underlies energy production and physiologic recovery.

Oral supplements play an important role in foundational care, but their absorption can be partial and highly variable, influenced by digestion, gut integrity, transport mechanisms, and first-pass metabolism. By contrast, intravenous delivery bypasses these limitations, allowing for near-complete systemic availability and predictable nutrient delivery, which can be particularly useful during periods of increased physiologic demand, recovery, or impaired absorption.

Within the Vita Health framework, IV therapy is used to support redox balance and glycation mitigation, helping reduce excessive oxidative and nitrosative stress while preserving normal cellular signaling. This supports the body’s ability to limit the formation of advanced glycation end-products (AGEs)—a key contributor to cellular aging.
IV Nutrient Therapy functions best when integrated with hormone support, metabolic and nutritional strategies, mitochondrial-focused therapies, and purposeful movement.

Photobiomodulation (PBM)

Photobiomodulation at Vita Health is offered as a physician-directed, adjunctive therapy grounded in mitochondrial physiology—not a cosmetic or spa-based light treatment. This therapy uses targeted red and near-infrared wavelengths to support mitochondrial function at Complex IV (cytochrome c oxidase) within the electron transport system, a critical control point for cellular energy production.
By enhancing Complex IV activity, photobiomodulation helps improve mitochondrial efficiency, cellular signaling, and recovery capacity, particularly in tissues with high energy demand. Within the Vita Health framework, PBM is used to support oxidation reduction, metabolic efficiency, and adaptive recovery, reinforcing the physiologic foundations established through hormone optimization, nutrition, hydration, and purposeful movement.

When appropriately combined with methylene blue, which supports electron flow at Complexes I–III, photobiomodulation can further reinforce mitochondrial ATP production by supporting multiple steps within the electron transport system. This coordinated approach is designed to enhance cellular energy efficiency while preserving normal redox balance.
Photobiomodulation functions best when integrated with metabolic support, hormone optimization, hydration strategies, mitochondrial-focused adjuncts, and purposeful movement.

Hydrogen Therapy

Hydrogen Therapy at Vita Health is offered as an adjunctive support to reinforce metabolic and mitochondrial health. Molecular hydrogen helps reduce oxidative and nitrosative stress by selectively neutralizing the most damaging reactive oxygen species (ROS) and reactive nitrogen species (RNS)—including peroxynitrite—while preserving physiologically important redox signaling.

By supporting redox balance and mitochondrial efficiency without suppressing beneficial cellular signaling, hydrogen therapy can be particularly useful during periods of metabolic strain, recovery, or increased physiologic demand.
Hydrogen Therapy functions best when integrated with optimized hydration, nutrition, hormone support, mitochondrial-focused therapies, and purposeful.

Methylene Blue (MB)

Methylene Blue is offered at Vita Health as an adjunctive mitochondrial support, selected for its ability to enhance cellular energy efficiency and redox balance when used in carefully controlled, low-dose protocols.

Within the Vita Health framework, MB is used to support oxidation reduction, mitochondrial efficiency, and cognitive and metabolic resilience, particularly during periods of increased physiologic demand or recovery.
Methylene Blue functions best when integrated with hormone optimization, metabolic support, hydration strategies, purposeful movement, and complementary mitochondrial-focused therapies.

Important safety note: Methylene Blue is not used in individuals taking medications that significantly increase serotonin levels, including selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs), or related agents, due to the risk of serotonin syndrome. Careful medication review is required prior to use.
